FAQs
Red Letter Films HQ is in Somerset in the South West of England. While this is where I call home, I also offer free travel up to a 200 mile round-trip from - anything further than this may require a small contribution towards travel and, if necessary, accommodation. Travel isn't just limited to the UK either, so if you're planning to elope or take your wedding party aboard, I'm game!
The first step is to fill out an enquiry form. Fill it with as much (or as little) detail as you like, and I'll come straight back to you with my availability. If I'm available and you like the idea of me filming your day, I would ideally love to chat to you both over a video call (or in person if you're local), but I appreciate everybody is different so there's zero pressure to do so. Following that, it's simply a case of signing an agreement of terms and paying a £200 deposit to get everything set in stone!
It has always been, and always will be, me. I'm very protective over the style of the films I produce for couples, and have major trust issues when it comes to allowing others to edit the footage I capture. So rest assured, while I might have another videographer join me to help capture more footage at larger weddings, it will always be me editing your films. Period.
Nobody wants a camera in their face all day and, to be honest, it's so much easier for me to capture genuine moments and reactions when people aren't aware of my presence. So my goal is essentially to blend in to the background as much as possible, pretty much like a fly on the wall. In terms of style, I'm all about capturing your day as it unfolds naturally, all while ensuring that the fun factor is reflected in your films. When I got married, the videographer (who turned out to be a scam artist (no names)) was telling my wife and I to "go here" and "do that" - you will not find that here. You have my word! If you're still sat on the fence, do feel free to take a look at a selection of my films.
Unfortunately, due to copyright law, the use of the vast majority of well-known audio tracks is not possible. That said, I have access to a variety of high quality licensed tracks, of which I will spend hours (literally) searching through to find the perfect tracks that match the feeling of your big day.
I always limit the number of weddings I cover each year to ensure that each one of my couples receives the same level of service that people have come to expect from Red Letter Films. I'm currently taking bookings all the way up to 2028 and have limited availability remaining for 2026, so even if it's last minute, I might be able to help.
In all the years that I've been filming weddings, I've not once let anybody down. Now, that's not to say that I won't wake up one day and feel like I've been hit by a train, because sometimes sh*t happens. If that scenario was to unfold, I have a number of colleagues in the industry that I can call upon to step in (many of whom use the same cameras that I do) and subsequently send all footage to me after the day, so it will still be me that edits in the usual style.
